Instructions for Snowflake No. 27
6 pointed pattern (4 folds)

Snow27.gif
  1. Cut out the hexagon shape below (outer line) and fold in half along the dashed line labeled FOLD 1. Keep the grey and white triangle (1/12th of snowflake) visible after each step.

  2. Next fold along the dashed line labeled FOLD 2 that extends to the center of the snowflake.

  3. Fold along the dashed line labeled FOLD 3, so you are left with a triangle shape with the grey and white snowflake image filling half of one side.

  4. Finally fold the triangle in half along the dashed line labeled FOLD 4 so that the snowflake image fills one side of the remaining triangle.

  5. With a small pair of sharp scissors cut away all the grey areas so that only the white areas between the grey patches remain. Carefully unfold to reveal your completed snowflake.

  6. Attach a loop of black thread through one of the points to hang it on the Christmas tree. Flatten the snowflake by ironing it at low temperature between two sheets of paper. Photocopy the pattern (enlarge or reduce) if you wish to change the snowflake's size.
