Pam Coronado
Pam Coronado is the mother of three school-aged children and a licensed
private detective who specializes in cases of missing and abducted children. Pam's expertise in child abduction is a direct result of investigative work on many of the kidnapping cases across the U.S. and an intensive study of the rest. Not only does Pam work at recovering missing children, but she also investigates pedophiles. She has been consulted by law enforcement agencies across the country. When a kidnapping attempt occurred at her own daughter's school last year, Pam founded Smart Hearts. Now, thousands of children have taken her workshop in Southern California schools. In a recent interview, Pam said that the primary goal of Smart Hearts is to empower children with the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively deal with the realities of stranger danger without passing on a fear and mistrust of all humanity. "My in-depth knowledge of child predators and the way they operate gives me the understanding I need to teach children how to protect themselves and empowering children is my passion in life." The name Smart Hearts reminds children that they already possess one of the most effective skills with which to discern and avoid a risk situation: intuition. According to police, approximately 90% of violent assaults could have been prevented if the victim had followed their "gut feelings." Teaching children to recognize, trust and use instincts for their own protection is a cornerstone of Smart Hearts.
